El Refugio Wrap-up

Last week we had our last classes at El Refugio for a few months. Many things come to a halt once the summer holiday hits Argentina. We celebrated with an open house for the kids to show off the their work to their friends and families.

The dance class performed. And then they performed again. And again. And again. They were quite excited. The students' drawings and crafts were on display. The music class sang their songs and the videos from the computer class were played. The computer students received DVDs of their work, and each student received a certificate of completion.

Cake, juice, and a fair amount of horsing around finished off the event. We were unable to attend the dinner celebration with the older youth as we had to rush off to renew our visas.

We rode through the night, 9 hours to Buenos Aires, to catch a ferry to Uruguay. After a day there we spent a few days in Buenos getting to know more of the OM Argentina team and where they're working. A most excellent trip.

Check out the start of our December photos and stay tuned for more . . .
